About Us

S.E. Wisconsin Hearing Center is locally owned and operated and is a totally independent hearing healthcare provider.  We are tied to the community and the owner is a life long resident.  We believe that hearing care is health care.  We treat each patient individually and our providers are top notched professionals. We have hearing aids that can meet any budget.  Yearly screenings and lifetime service is always included with any purchase of hearing devices.  While many in our industry hire practitioners as commissioned sales people, we believe that our job is to help the patient in front of us and we will never put our professionals in a position that would compromise the care of anyone seeking our help .

What to Expect On Your First Visit

On your first visit we will welcome you to our office and introduce you to our staff.  We will fill out a brief case history about your health, medications, work history, and answer questions about your hearing difficulties.  Following an ear inspection, you will undergo a comprehensive audiometric examination that will provide the diagnostic information for speech discrimination.  These results will allow us to  explain your options and expectations.  Should you have a hearing loss,  you have the option of  trialing a pair of hearing devices programmed specifically for your loss. Everyone's hearing loss is unique to them. Therefore, the device selected must be unique , as well. Thus,  we offer multiple brands. to fit  you and your lifestyle.   Our goal is to allow you to hear well,, be interactive and engaged in your day to day life.

Modern Hearing Aid Devices

While most hearing centers are manufacturer owned and only carry one brand, S.E Wisconsin carries all the major brands and has a "try before you buy" policy. Since every manufacturer has unique algorithms, it is important to try multiple brands to find the hearing aid that has the right sound for you.  Most hearing aids today will work with a smart phone.  Music can be streamed right into you hearing devices.  Some can monitor your vital statistics and send a message to a loved one if you would fall while wearing them.  Many can be found if lost by using your cell phone to locate them.

But the biggest advancements are the elimination of feedback, reduction of background noise and speech enhancers that work to send your brain the signal that it needs to properly interpret speech in difficult situations.

Came here a few years ago to have my old hearing aids re-programed and they did a nice job and were very friendly. When it came time for new aids I came back and the owner, Dave was once again very friendly and eager to help me. They took care of billing my insurance and the new aids are great. Willing to make any adjustments needed and even paired up an accessory I didn't purchase from him. They are a great company to deal with and I highly recommend them

Hearing test was thorough and complete. Being able to trial a number of different hearing aids prior to selection was a definent plus. Few other providers offer this no commitment service with the real goal being satisfaction with the hearing aid purchase.

Dave Braun and his staff at S.E. Wisconsin Hearing Center Inc. are the absolute best in the Southeast Wisconsin area bar none! I recently assisted my elderly mother search for a new hearing aid. In the past, she had some bad experiences with high-pressure sales tactics at other hearing centers, so we entered into this search with reluctance and leeriness. She did not like the trickery and unethical tactics encountered with some other centers previously. Fortunately, what we found with Dave Braun and S.E. Wisconsin Hearing Center Inc. was the polar opposite. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. We were warmly greeted by the front office manager named Phil who helped us get situated and offered to brew us a fresh cup of coffee. Next, mom had a comprehensive hearing exam (that was not rushed) with Diane. Diane was very friendly, patient, and professional and we were delighted with her willingness to answer questions and make sure Mom was always comfortable. Then we met Dave to interpret results and learn about different hearing aids. Throughout the entire process, they were thorough and professional, and we never felt rushed or pressured. Mom tried a few brands over several weeks and had follow-up visits with Dave until she finally found the best fit. Mom has severe hearing loss and is very particular about how she likes things. Dave has the patience of a saint, expert knowledge and great technical skill all in one. I remember leaving that day feeling relieved that we had chosen the right place. Mom and I highly value the personal relationship with service professionals, and we do not want to be treated like a number. Even more important, we need to be able to trust the person we are working with. To us, trust is the highest level by which a service professional is measured, and Dave and S.E. Wisconsin Hearing Center Inc. exceeded our wildest dreams in every way. It was clear that Dave’s main concern was finding the best hearing aid for Mom not making a quick sale or earning a commission like some other centers in the area. Save yourself a lot of time by starting here. They will outperform your expectations on every level. Without a doubt the best around!

Today was my first time to visit SE Wisconsin Hearing Center as I was shopping for Hearing aids. As soon as I entered the door I was greeted warmly by the staff. They were preparing to have carpeting replaced but they took the time to help me. Heather was so helpful to me as I was giving her my Audiology test results and telling her my past experiences in noisy environments. Heather had me fill out paperwork and even offered to help me fill it out because of hand issues that made it hard to do. Heather offered me to try at home a pair of demo hearing aids which I did not expect. The first pair worked so well and felt so comfortable that I asked for the price which was a little higher than what I wanted to spend but then Heather suggested a similiar model that was more in my price range. They were the same as the first pair and I liked them so much that I decided to purchase a new pair which I hope to pickup the first week of November 2023.
I was so impressed with David Braun, Heather and all the staff of SE Wisconsin Hearing Center that I highly recommend them to anyone looking for hearing aids. I will be a customer for the rest of my life and I am so glad that I found them and I am so satisfied with the service I received today. I look forward to many years as a customer. Thank you so much everyone.

Update- I was in today for a hearing checkup and Heather was very helpful. She updated the software and replaced the hearing parts for my Oticon hearing aids. These are the best hearing aids for me. I can now hear things that I have missed for years. Thank you so very much

I drove down from Milwaukee and ended up with a hearing aid that was far superior to what I’d been using. Their kindness, knowledge and thorough testing was astonishing. I learned a lot and most important I can hear much better with my new hearing aids!
